We are leaving in just 10 days! Our lives are a bit chaotic with boxes all around, errands to do, recitals to attend and our sanity to maintain. Through these difficult, crazy days, it is the thought that God has truly called us, that keeps us going.

It all started about 1 1/2 years ago when our family attended a lay peoples evangelism convention in Tampa. It was there that we were privileged to hear Paul Opp speak about the People of Peru project. At that time we met him and his wife and briefly discussed the possibility of going down for a mission trip. We were unable to do anything much since we still had to sell our home and couldn't leave. It was another year after that, that our house finally sold. We then moved into a rental house. At that time, we revisited Peru, but all the doors were shut again. I(Kathi) put this out of my thoughts and continued to pray for God's leading here, in Sebring Florida. We spent time trying to find a house to purchase, David was busy with his solar business and the kids continued with homeschooling.

One day, as I was deep in prayer about our future, our desire to be settled in a home of our own, I layed it all out before the Lord. Peru came to mind at that time. I prayed earnestly about this and told the Lord He needed to lead in this. I asked that the director of the project would contact us and ask us to come. I then laughed, incredulous that he would contact us since we had always been the ones to contact him. It was two-three days later that, as I checked my email, there was an invitation to go down to Peru and work. This is what headed us down the path we are on now!

The Lord has given us many more open doors and we are blessed and humbled to be able to go down this path. It is our hope that as you journey this way with us, you too will be blessed by the Lord and know that you, too can trust in Him and His leading.
